Project Introduction |
Summarize |
What is reverse engineering? Reverse engineering is basically taking something apart to determine how something is made and how it functions. So to start off our project, we had to reverse engineer the truck and then we decided to make some enhancements. We decided to work to work on making the truck look like a hot rod. We did it by naming ideas and making small sketches and we fell on hot rod.

The first step is to do a visual analysis. Basically it is when you look at the object and at its feature but don't take it apart. The next step is to do a functional analysis which is when you determine its function aka input and output. The final stage is to do a structural analysis which is when you completely take it apart. See all the little parts that make it up and allow it to function.

Define the Problem
Group norms are something that my partner and me should do to stay on task and finish the mission. For example, Wil and I should put in equal effort and should each do the same amount of work. I am better at inventor so it doesn't bother me to be doing the inventor stuff as Wil is really good at setting up the weebly. If one is not pulling in his work, the other will tell Mrs. Zienty.

They basically said that everything looked fine. They were pretty picky about the colors and were telling me that the wood doesn't fit a got rod design. They suggested that i change the rims and muffler to chrome. They also said that the color should be darker. Hence, I colored it dark grey. Other than that, they agree with the design and support it.
Present Solution - Conclusion
My experience was fairly well. My partner Will did a good job with the weebly and just helping out a little on inventor. I feel my inventor skills have been more refined and i feel i have perfected some of the skills for inventor. Another thing that i liked is that we agreed on what we would do right away instead of wasting time. Some factors to keep in mind when changing your project is that your modifications will fit the rest of the object. Another is that you can actually accomplish it. It is important to document your brainstorming process since it will show at the end how much the original idea changed and how next time you can avoid wasting time. Sketches are just to visually show your ideas and will help you and your partner figure out what you mean.
