Construct and Test prototype
Our first type of paddles were only were only one layer of cardboard. But, we tested them out then decided and worked on adding another layer to the paddles to give the ball a little more boost to get over the table. Kevin and I had to readjust the taping we had on the board. The way we were doing it was making to table fall apart. so we had to remove the tape and start again with all the cardboard pieces tighter together and tape more packing to the table.
Present solution
The project went well and smoothly. We got our idea right away which meant that we got to building right away which was good. We built it fairly quickly and made paddles. One problem we encountered is that the ping pongs don't really bounce on the cardboard. We ended up being okay with it since it was still really fun. We made more paddles and made them feel good. One thing i would say to next year's students is that you should probably not do a ping pong table just cause it can't really bounce. Another thing is try making a game that involves throwing, those seem to work best and are fun to build.
